Postpartum Traditions around the world | Westchester Newborn Photographer

Last year I learned about an amazing thing in China. Birthing centers are actually similar to posh hotels with spas. Women stay there for a month, get help with their newborn so they can rest and recover and have access to an array of postpartum help including massages, yoga and breastfeeding support. I don't know, but this luxury is likely not be accessible to all...but I do know in many eastern cultures it is standard for the mom to not leave the home for the first month.

I found this article interesting and showing one glaring truth - in America, we expect too much, too soon from our moms. See what you think! https://aleteia.org/2021/01/02/5-postpartum-traditions-from-around-the-world/
