Lifestyle Newborn

Lifestyle newborn sessions takes place in your home with minimal props or posing.  The session will capture the simple beauty of this time period and focus on the emotion and interactions between the family with your new baby.  The story captured will be one passed down for generations!

 

Sessions typically take place in the master bedroom and nursery but we may use other areas if desired.

 

While much of the 'posing' comes naturally, I will guide you into positions with the best light and flattering angles.  Some things I find myself saying often during a session are, 'oh, that is beautiful, let's come over by this window and do it again", or, "I love the way you are holding baby, can we try to keep her like that but bring her up a little higher".  While baby is calm we will also get images of her alone.

 

Newborn lifestyle sessions are well suited for siblings (including fur-siblings!).  The posing is not forced and comes much more naturally for the entire family.

 

The sessions unfold naturally, arranging members for better angles or getting baby alone depending on how many snuggles they are needing at the moment!   At some point in the session baby will need to be changed or fed or burped...I love being able to capture everyday moments and make them beautiful.  These are the details that fade so quickly.
