The S Family | In home lifestyle newborn session | Garrison Newborn Photographer

For this session mom wasn't sure if she wanted studio or lifestyle. We kinda let things play out since she was due around the time I was planning a vacation...if timing worked we would do studio, if not, lifestyle it was! Lifestyle sessions are easier to do with older babies since there is not as much posing involved. We ended up doing a lifestyle session, baby was about 2 months old. She actually did end up sleeping thru most of her session, but she was all wrapped up and cozy, so of course! We unwrapped her towards the end so we could get some pictures of those big beautiful eyes and then took a few more family pictures on the couch with everyone awake.

Lifestyle sessions are nice when there is a young older sibling. You can capture their curiosity and interactions, they also are in a familiar setting which usually lends well to keeping them comfortable and engaged. This sister did great...she hung out with us the whole time, getting in photos, taking short little breaks to jump on a bed or read with dad, but never wandered far and got in all the pictures we asked her to!
