Why Lifestyle photography?
I have done both lifestyle and studio work over the years and my heart just continues to be pulled towards lifestyle work. Let me explain why.
Lifestyle is raw beauty.
This is photography stripped down to capture connections, emotions and details. It will perfectly capture your family as it is, at this moment in time.
Lifestyle is timeless.
Think of this as a gift, an heirloom, you are giving your beautiful baby. These are the photos that will be treasured in the years to come. Your baby will be able to reminisce, maybe together with you and their own children. They will be able to see and tell a story told through these images...the home they were born into, the parents who love them and the details of life that grew with them.
Lifestyle is natural.
This minimalist approach takes place in the comfort of your own home, in your favorite spots. You are holding your baby for most of the session. Baby stays in your arms, where she belongs. During the solo baby portion of the session all posing is led by baby in natural positions.
Lifestyle is flexible.
Unlike studio sessions which are best done in the first couple weeks of life, lifestyle sessions can be done at any time. The session changes as baby grows! Younger babies tend to be sleepier and may naturally go into some simple studio poses while older babies are generally more awake and give great expressions and eye contact. They are both beautiful sessions. Sometimes you just aren't ready for photos in the first 2 weeks. There is no stressing over this in lifestyle, we capture life as it is at that moment...whether baby is 2 weeks or 2 months.
Lifestyle tells a story.
You get to choose your favorite images to tell this story - or all of the best images! This story will come together beautifully in an album. Whether you choose to have me help you design your album or you do it on your own, I encourage everyone to have these images printed.

NEWBORN SAFETY
As a newborn photographer, I keep safety as my number one priority.
I am trained in newborn safety and have many methods to keep your baby calm and settled for a successful session. Perhaps most notable in my various training courses is the hands on, in person training I received with the world renowned newborn photographer Ana Brandt.
In addition to my on hands training, I am also a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). An organization who is dedicated to training and educating photographers to an industry standard of excellence.
MATERNITY, CHILD AND FAMILY
In addition to photographing newborns I welcome clients for maternity photography, child photography and on-location family photography. I love watching clients grow and seeing them come back for milestone sessions, cake smash sessions and family sessions.

Please browse the portfolios of our most popular session types. All sessions take place either in your home or outdoors. In home lifestyle sessions are not just for newborns! While most families choose to have sessions done outdoors during the warmer months, in home family lifestyle sessions are gorgeous, too!
THE CLIENT EXPERIENCE
My services are not limited to your photo session and file delivery. Your experience begins with your first inquiry when I answer any questions or concerns you have before booking your session. Once booked you will receive an informative prep guide which will likely answer all of your questions, but may raise new ones! Either way, it will help prepare you for our pre-session consultation where we will discuss location, wardrobe and what to expect during the session. After your session I am always available if you need help downloading your images or if you would like to order an album, wall art or any of my other professional products.
